…Overwhelmed with the thought/process of packing for the rest of the year. I’m a chronic over-packer who always tends to travel with tons of stuff I never end up wearing, using or even taking out of my suitcase. I do it in an effort to make myself feel at home, but it never plays out that way. I usually develop a uniform based on whatever I feel most comfortable in, and do laundry every 1.5-2 weeks. This leaves me having to carrying around a bunch of useless, unworn clothing (since I’m constantly washing and re-wearing my “favorite” garments). This time, I’m going as light as I can, and building on my +3 month wardrobe if needed.
I’ll be on a Tropical Island for the next 10 days (hot weather) and then in Europe pretty much until 2012 (cold weather). This means shorts and swimming trunks + coats, jackets, boots, sweaters, hoodies + suits etc.
I took this photo of my hand in my living room, after un-boxing one of the new toys I bought today. Although my mind is running at 100mph and all of my stuff is strewn all over the place, there was something peaceful about this photo to me.
